Brian Benkendorfer
Brian serves as the Executive Pastor at the North Congregation of The Austin Stone Community Church. He and his wife, Lisa, have deep roots with Student Life that go back to the early 2000’s, where they both worked on summer staff teams, and Brian preaching at Kids Camps. Their four kiddos–Ellie, Reagan, Callum, and Samuel–keep their schedule, coffee mugs, and hearts constantly overflowing! Brian is committed to using camp as a means to help kids understand the basic truths of the Gospel of Jesus in ways that are accessible and memorable for both kids and for the leaders that are getting back on buses with them.
SLK Worship
SLK Worship is a team of worship leaders who specialize in kids’ worship. They have a genuine desire to help teach kids about worshipping God, how we worship and why we worship Him. The members are all very accessible and love spending time with kids in the cafeteria, at recreation or anywhere in between during camp.
Mt. Lebanon Retreat and Conference Center
EATFood is served cafeteria style where students can use a tray and walk down the line.
SLEEP
Dormitory-style, large bunk rooms that vary in sizes and the number of people they can hold. A smaller bunk room may only sleep 16 people and larger rooms may sleep as many as 40 people. Bathrooms are provided in each sleeping area.
Student Life Kids Camp assigns housing based upon max occupancy of a cabin. Example: If a cabin has 40 bunk beds, we try to assign 40 people to that room, even if that means two or three churches are housed together.
*If you have a housing policy that does not allow sharing a cabin with other groups, please be aware that rooms at this location will be assigned to max occupancy to keep your cost per person as low as possible. Our recommendation for our churches that have these policies is to not register for this location.
PLAY
Swimming pools and a 600-foot slide provide a great escape from the summer heat! Other options include: the Challenge Course, Basketball courts, beach volleyball, jumping pillow, gaga ball, 9 square in the air, human foosball, soccer cage and more!
